ANYA TAYLOR -JOY COUTURE BEAUTY LOOK
Anya Taylor-Joy went beyond ‘Hollywood glamorous’ for her virtual appearance at the 78th annual Golden Globes Awards.
The winning actress for her performance in The Queen’s Gambit celebrated the night wearing a custom made Dior green lurex draped dress with matching belt and coat. Beautifully doll-up by make-up artist Georgie Eisdell with Dior Make-up.
INSPIRATION
“My inspiration for Anya’s look came from her exquisite Dior gown. The look has a little 70’s vibe to it, so I wanted to lean into that but keep it modern, so we went with a smoky bronzed eye, gorgeous fluffy lash and soft cheek. To pull it all together I opted for a modern, nude lip”. – Georgie Eisdell

COMPLEXION
I started using the Dior Capture Totale C.e.l.l. Energy Super Potent Serum, massaging it into her skin to add radiance and really plump Anya’s skin. I used the Dior Capture Totale C.e.l.l. Energy Eye Cream to revitalize and smooth under her eyes. To finish, I used the Dior Capture Totale Super Potent Rich Creme to lock in moisture and give me a beautiful radiant healthy glow, the perfect base for makeup.
Anya’s skin is stunning and flawless; I didn’t want to cover it. I used Dior Forever Skin Glow #0n to even out her skin. Then I used the Dior Forever Skin Correct #0n lightly under her eyes to brighten and illuminate. Following this, I used the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-no-Powder #2n to take the edge of the shine just in her t-zone. Then I used the Dior Rouge blush #475 rose caprice matte on the apple of her cheeks and blending back. I then added the Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette #001 universal very slightly over the top to add a glow and illuminate the cheekbone.
EYES
The eyes we wanted to keep classically smokey and modern. I used the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture #599 new look and mixed the lighter bronze and deeper bronze together to make the perfect bronze applying it on the lid up to the crease. I added depth to the eye by using the dark brown across the lash line.
For her lashes, I added layers of the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl #090 black. Making sure to push the mascara wand right into the lash line and wiggling it to the top of the lash to create a fluffy lash and coating the lashes thoroughly. For a little more drama, I added in some individual lashes.
I shaped Anya’s brows with the Diorshow Brow Styler #001 universal brown extending the brow slightly to elongate the eye a little more and shape the face. I then used the Diorshow pump ‘n’ brow #011 blonde to hold the brows in shape.
LIPS
I prepped her lips with the rouge Dior #000 Diornatural to hydrate and moisten her lips before I applied the Rouge Dior #434 promenade. I then sharpened the edges using the Dior contour #100 nude look.”
