DIOR MAKE-UP AT THE COUTURE SHOW
Every step to achieve Dior’s Dior Make-up statement as seen in the Spring Summer 2022 Haute Couture show.
Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Makeup, created a makeup look that saw a vivid line of pure white eyeliner applied under the eye, to powerfully yet softly emphasize the eyes for the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2022 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri. “I took up the theme of a signature-makeup with an “under-liner”, this time in a pure vivid white, sharp line”
EYES
Peter Philips explained: “I drew a sharp, graphic line of vivid, white eyeliner using the Diorshow on stage liner 001 matte white under the eye, and extending it towards the inner and outer corners of the eye. Next, I applied a line of Diorshow khôl 009 white khôl to the waterline to accentuate this spotless white eye look. Eyebrows were shaped with the Diorshow kabuki brow styler.”
COMPLEXION
Peter Philips described “An even and luminous complexion thanks to skin prepped with the Capture Totale routine. First, I applied Capture Totale Intensive Essence lotion followed by Capture Totale Super Potent Serum, and then, for the eye area, Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum.
Once the skin was hydrated, I blurred any flaws with the Dior Forever Skin Veil Primer, before applying Dior Forever Foundation, which evens out the skin while maintaining a translucent effect. Then I used Dior Forever Skin Correct for touch-ups followed by a misting of Dior Forever Perfect Fix to set the makeup.”
LIPS
The lips looked very natural and were hydrated with the transparent Rouge Dior Velvet Balm 000 diornatural.
NAILS
The nails looked natural in Dior Vernis 108 muguet.
HAIR
Guido Palau describes a hair style where each model’s personality was respected. those with long hair had it styled in a casual, messy bun with strands of hair escaping. a bit like when young girls tie their hair up themselves standing in front of the mirror.
