SUMMER DECOR INSPIRATION
In the current Perfect Wedding Spring/Summer issue,”Blue Paradise – The Surfer’s Edition”, Waves of Inspiration features photography, by ChrisplusLynn, inspired by a perfect Los Cabos day at the luxurious Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a Rosewood Hotel & Resort: The sea, sand, and sunshine. The table setting, designed by Weddings & Events by Karla Casillas, combines the shimmering turquoise radiance of the ocean with the pure white of a sandy beach and a burst of sunshine yellow. Topped by white phalenopsis and yellow oncydium orchids woven into branches, three reflective mercury vases center this arrangement & mirror the surrounding landscape and colors. Mercury candle holders,hanging crystals and hearts, and gold-rimmed chargers add more shimmer to this sparkling head table. The yellow mini-roses colour pop among the white hyacinths and white lisianthus, and contrast against the turquoise table linens. The multiple blue tones of the ocean and sky are accented by the turquoise pillows and escort cards on the chairs. A single white orchid at each setting is the simple final touch to this seaside setting.
Deena Fisher from Sweet Dreams Cabo was inspired by the surf beaches of Cabo when designing the cupcakes and towering wedding cake. Her desire was to create something a bit abstract with lots of movement and shimmer. Curving waves of almond-scented rolled fondant inform the sculptural design of the three-tier chocolate fudge cake layered with passion fruit mousse filling.

Below: a luxurious white banquet is the focus of this sweetheart table. A dramatic focal point, the oversized banquet seat is also perfect for the bride & groom to snuggle in as well as acting as a special spot for photos with guests. The intimate table is inspired by Cabo’s dramatic sunsets over the ocean – vivid pinks and purples with aqua accents. Purple phalenopsis & dendrobium orchids mingle with purple mini-calla lilies and lavender roses to create a low arrangement that doesn’t hide the couple from the view of the guests. Reflective aqua mercury vases add a hint of shimmer.
