Zuhair Murad RTW Fall/Winter 2022-23 collection recounts tales about people of the world.
The collection portrays a loose, daring atmosphere, without borders. Moving with the wind and the seasons, his women, bursting with life and passion, are adorned with an amalgam of styles imbued with a nomadic universe for a modern and adventurous finish.
The cashmere coat is embellished with geometric ornaments in vibrant colours, while the caddy pants, flowing like wrap skirts, boast ethnic gems for a lavish touch, and gowns with plunging neckline extend in sheer billows accented with scintillating crystals along the edges.
The decisively modern grain de poudre is bedecked with precious flower motifs embroidered with wool thread, an ancestral technique that presents a unique aesthetic.
Shimmering velvet, muslin and sequins merge in pursuit of freedom and boldness, and each piece, adorned with cutouts and alloys, embodies a journey in itself.
The atmosphere is light and spirited, a fervent nod to Loulou de la Falaise, whose bohemian sensuality is reflected throughout the pieces: From lace to fil coupé and misty muslin, the materials intersect and ravel in a dance of translucence revealing the body. The macramé is subsequently applied to the fishnet to effect arresting contours.
For grand evenings and nights of passion, coarse tribal sequins run along opulent corseted gowns, glamorous sheath gowns, and even flattering jumpsuits.
The colours evolve in a crescendo from ecru to ochre. They flare up in coral and burgundy, after which the emerald gleams lustrously to finally mature in navy and black. A palette of sumptuous hues that extol curves and motion like an ode to liberty.
