DIOR BEAUTY LOOK ~ SS2020 HAUTE COUTURE SHOW
Peter Philips, creative and image director for Dior Make-up, created a make-up look emphasizing eyes with a double line of graphic eyeliner heightened with gold, for the Dior Spring-Summer 2020 Haute Couture collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri.
“I drew a double line of black eyeliner like two little “wings” that were both discreet yet very graphic. applied at the corner of the eye, separated by a swipe of gold.”
Peter Philips explains:
EYES
To get this look, I curled the lashes with the Dior Backstage Eyelash Curler, and applied some Diorshow Iconic Overcurl 090 Over Black mascara, just at the roots. Then, I drew two black lines with Diorshow On Stage Liner in 091 Matte Black. Next filled in the gap between these two lines using the gold eye shadow, applied wet, from the Dior Backstage Custom Eye Palette 001 Universal Neutral. Lastly, to finish accentuating the eye, I structured the eyebrows with the Diorshow Brow Styler and Diorshow Pump ‘N” Brow.
COMPLEXION
An ultra-natural complexion prepped with Dior Backstage Face & Body Primer, which blurs and smooths the skin. The I used the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation, whose fine texture provides a really natural effect, matching each skin tone. As a finishing touch I corrected with the brand new Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer.
LIPS
The lips looked natural, they were prepped with Dior Lip Sugar Scrub in 001, the I used Dior Lip Maximizer in 001 Pink and blotted the shine just before the show.
NAILS
They followed the natural look with Dior Vernis in 108 Muguet.
HAIR
Styled by Guido Palau, the hair was left long and loose. A braided band on the top of the head was the base for a tiara designed by Stephen Jones, to which a small, light veil was attached.
