TARA LAUREN ~ SPRING 2017
While Tara Lauren embodies an elevated bohemian aesthetic, this season we stayed true to our roots while giving our Spring 2017 collection an Italian coastal feel. We wanted to evoke that dreamy seaside ambiance by keeping our silhouettes easy and light, using soft touches of colour, textured battenburg lace, and billowy crepe de chine.
What was the inspiration behind the collection and the shoot?
As we we’re gathering ideas for this coastal getaway collection the Amalfi Coast became a reoccurring image on our mood board. We wanted the collection to echo the lively, youthful, and effortless atmosphere of Amalfi. Around the same time, we learned that a photographer we love and have worked with in the past was actually planning to head there for a wedding. He was more than happy to collaborate with us again, and it ended up working out perfectly.
