DIOR’S HIGH JEWELLERY PRESENTED IN LAKE COMO
Dior unveiled a new high jewellery collection with an exclusive fashion show at the banks of Lake Como. Designed by Victoire de Castellane, creative director for Dior’s jewellery division surpassed all expectations with a dazzling interpretation of nature.
To mark the unveiling of the Dior Haute joaillerie collection Les jardins de la Couture, the House exceptionally presented the collection at the captivating Villa Erba on Lake Como. Presented during a poetic gala where VIP’s and special clients that came from all over the world were treated with an elegant dinner commanded by Chef Enrico Bartolini. The lavish table escapes were designed by Cordelia de Castellane, creative director of Dior Maison.
After the welcome dinner, guests were invited to see the spectacular fashion show in the gardens of the majestic Villa Erba were the 170 pieces signed by Victoire de Castellane were showcased on models celebrating more than ever the natural world so dear to Christian Dior.
Christian Dior had a fond for gardens, maybe so more than fashion and fine arts, nature was always at the core of his inspiration when he designed his master couture pieces and this is the staring point of inspiration for Victoire de Castellene.
A meeting of Dior universes, these precious creations were revealed alongside haute couture silhouettes designed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri, in a oneiric show. In the garden, two tableaux vivants spotlighted this fascinating artistic dialogue, bringing together the virtuosity of jewelry-making savoir-faire and that of couture.
A spellbinding spectacle – concluded with a majestic fireworks display – combining Parisian elegance and Italian dolce vita.
