REAL WEDDING IN SCOTLAND

SCOTLAND WAS THEIR DESTINY.
Sarah and Judy got married in a majestic medieval castle in Scotland, the Borthwick Castle, a 600 year old opulent venue that was once the residence of Mary Queen of Scots and Oliver Cromwell. The wedding took place this year at the beginning of the Fall, when the moody weather sets the tone for an idyllic, eternal romance.
Judy is from Scotland and Sarah is from Texas, they met 7 years ago in Paris, France. Interestingly enough Sarah actually does have ancestry in Scotland and her last name is the Scottish Clan name of Maxwell so now they are Mrs and Mrs Maxwell-McNicol! A very Scottish last name.
There was no doubt that they would then tied the knot in the scenic country.
Judy wore a Galia Lahav corseted ballgown adorned with floral embroidery cascading down on the tulle skirt, during the wedding ceremony she added a long veil with embroidery matching her wedding dress.
THE DECOR
Judy (@weemoodyjudy) is a well established illustrator and ceramic artist and Sarah (@sarahmaxwellart) is an exceptional tattoo artist and illustrator, their creative talents and vision showcased in their wedding décor. The theme, romantic gothic was perfectly mastered by local vendors, the florals featured dahlias in warm orange colour palette and dark red roses combined with berries and wild foliage were seen in the bouquets, table escapes and floral arch in the ceremony beautifully created by Pyrus Botanicals, candles were lit enhancing the medieval beauty of the interior of the Borthwick Castle. The couple even designed their own stationery!
