PRONOVIAS ~ ART OF BRIDAL
During New York Bridal Fashion Week, Pronovias presented Art of Bridal the 2019 Atelier Pronovias collection at the iconic art gallery Studio 525.
Our Fashion collaborator, Stacie Houlker met briefly with Hervé Moreau, artistic director of Pronovias to talk about the essence of this new collection.
What was your inspiration for Art of Bridal? 
I got the inspiration when I was at Monet’s garden in Giverny. I saw all the diversity of the flowers and I decided to make a collection completely different for Pronovias, a wide diversity of colour, volume, embellishments and new beading.
To me exquisite haute couture dresses are like pieces of art. This is how we first came up with the idea of Art of Bridal presentation, where fashion and art come together to create a collector’s piece, that a Bride can wear on her special day.
You’ve revolutionized the Pronovias designs and you create wedding dresses that brides dream about. How do you identify what woman wants?
Truthfully, I don’t know exactly what she wants, the woman, therefore that is why I want to create dresses for all the women in which she can recognize herself in all the shapes, all the placements of laces, in every neckline, any woman can find what she needs in the Atelier Pronovias 2019 collection.
A fun question, Justin Bieber secretly married Hailey Baldwin recently. If you could choose one dress from Atelier Pronovias to have her wear, which one would it be?
I see her in a very glamorous dress, the “Carolina” dress will be perfect for her, it will complement her natural beauty.
Before we say goodbye, we want to know what is your favourite thing about New York?
The energy of this city! It is non stop!
The 2019 Atelier Pronovias showcases luxurious designs that have been artisanally crafted in the Barcelona atelier, where each gown is hand-made and can take anywhere from 110 to 300 hours to create. The brilliant dresses will make woman around the world fall in love, combining the demands of haute couture with the perfect pairing of tradition and innovation that Pronovias brand exudes.
