SMOKY EYE FOR THE SPRING ~ DIOR BEAUTY
Take inspiration in the beauty look as seen at the Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show: The Smoky Eye is the centre of attention this season.
Peter Philips created for Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 a beauty look that accentuates the eyes with a subtle smoky effect and it is just bridal perfect! Dior’s beauty director explains: “I highlighted the eyes with a combination of black shadows blurred, unpolished smoky eye, which plays on light effects and provides an element of mystery”.
THE EYES
To create that transparency and luminous effect, the slate grey and silver shades from the 5 Couleurs Couture 079 Black bow palette were applied on the upper eyelid, blending out towards the temples. “I opened the eye up by also highlighting the lash line of the lower eyelid with the same eyeshadows. A delicately redefined and structured natural eyebrow, using the Diorshow Brow Styler and the Diorshow on set brow“.
COMPLEXION
The uniform and luminous skin was “prepped the skin with the Dior Prestige skincare routine, first applying the Micro-Huile de Rise Advanced Serum, then the Creme Texture Essentielle followed by the Micro-Serum de Rose Yeux Advanced for the eye area. Next, the Dior Forever Glow Veil primer for radiance. The last touch is with Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation, which lightly evens out the complexion, and then I applied Dior Forever Skin Correct for touch-ups” Philips finishes explaining.
THE LIPS
A natural look was achieve with the range of nude shades from the Rouge Dior Mitzah edition, patted gently onto the curves of the lips.
THE NAILS
The tips of the models fingers looked graciously natural in Dior Vernis 108 Muguet.
THE HAIR
Styled in a decidedly roaring twenties fashion, with baby hairs on the temples and cheeks as a unifying theme. The hair was also plaited to form very 20’s style waves creating movement across the entire head. Some models had plaits wrapped in coils at the top of the forehead, then plaits were gathered and fastened flat at the nape of the neck.
